Joe By Joe’s works manifest invigorating, triumphant life through liberating colors and free-flowing movement, and we’re looking forward to experiencing the spirit of the collection each day this season. This show in particular marks a momentous occasion for Hayes as he celebrates a decade in the arts, reflects on past works, and looks towards the future. “A Grand Gesture” pays homage not just to Hayes’s journey as a creative but to the overall ebb and flow of artistic expression.

About Joe By Joe
Joseph Hayes is a Bronx-born painter, chef, creative consultant, and cultural provocateur. Hayes has made a name for himself displaying public art throughout Manhattan and curating shows, as well as using the culinary world as a vehicle for his raw and authentic form of expressionism.
Whether it is his past history with Interscope Records, being brand manager for fashion designer Brian Wood, or his extensive work in the culinary arts, Hayes has his hand in a variety of artistic mediums which fuels his primary focus in the fusion of painting, street art, and cooking. All mediums reveal his deep understanding of love, struggle, pain, intense emotion, and human experience.
We hope you’ll join us on February 13th to explore four floors of Hayes’s works and chat with the artist himself! Drinks and light bites will be provided courtesy of The Yard.
Special thanks to Akeem K. Duncan of Quiet Lunch for showing this vibrant exhibition at The Yard.
