Oh happy day! Madison Square Eats is back!
The Flatiron District is an incredible neighborhood to work in for a huge list of reasons, and quality lunch options is up there. When you’re faced with the same options day after day, Madison Square Eats is the blissful fountain in the Sahara.
Madison Square Eats can be an overwhelming place, especially at the ripe hours of 1 and 2pm. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of our top picks!
Lunching Like It’s Your Job
There are so many delicious lunch spots to pick from at Madison Square Eats, but Calexico is definitely an all-time favorite. They have a limited selection at their cart, but every option is nothing short of excelente.
We’re so happy that Bushwick’s famous pizza spot, Roberta’s, returns to Madison Square Eats every year. You’ll find their impressive brick oven in the southwest corner of the Eats. Try the Speckenwolf or the Bee Sting. You’ll thank us later!
Beatrice Burger is also a solid lunch pick and a new addition to this year’s Eats. Their dry-aged lamb burger is top notch when it comes to mid-day indulgences.
A Salad Built to Satisfy
Hong Kong Street Cart takes the prize for the summer’s most satisfying salad. We’re talking lemongrass chicken, mango dressing, and an abundant mix of colorful veggies.
Little Bites to Go
At every inch of the market, there’s lots to snack on. Arancini Bros. is a delicious pick, especially if you’re on the go. These bite-sized Sicilian risotto balls are full of savory goodness.
Still hungry? Walk to the opposite end of the market, and by the time you’re done with your risotto balls you’ll be ready for an empanada! La Sonrisa Empanadas is so delicious you won’t be able to stop at just one. The beef empanada with sofrito and veggies is a must-have. They have a bunch of cheese-filled vegetarian options, too!
We could go on and on about the delicious food options at Madison Square Eats, but part of the magic is discovering something you’ve never tried before. The market clears out this Friday so get out there and start taste-testing. Don’t worry, it’ll be back again September 10th!
