January 14, 2016/ by Tara M. F. Leavitt

Continuing a rotating series of exhibitions, The Yard presents “New Paintings” by artist Rachel Ritchford.

“It was odd, she thought, how if one was alone, one leant to inanimate things; trees, streams, flowers; felt they expressed one; felt they became one; felt they knew one, in a sense were one; felt an irrational tenderness thus (she looked at that long steady light) as for oneself.” ― Virginia Woolf, To the Lighthouse

Rachel Ritchford was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. Find her artist bio and more of her works here.

Reception Thursday, Jan 14th, 6-8pm at The Yard
